Been Extra busy...

School has been in for two weeks..thanking the Lord! Savanna and  I did finish the cake pops...As you can see in the side picture.  I have been doing more of a fall cleaning and getting kids clothes updated and organized.  I finally got a chance to get to my room.  I have been working on Flag blankets for my boys for Christmas.  I know they don't look at this so it won't spoil the surprise.  I know Kat would rather I be sitting here trying to work on my book, or the one Tony and I started...(not going to happen when the house is crazy lol)
Well  tonight we have a thunderstorm going over head so I might go down to my craft area and see what trouble I can get into lol..

Monday - First day of school!!

I know this sounds terrible, but I so enjoyed my day.  I am not saying my kids were driving me nuts because they were out of school, but because they were getting bored.

I took a nice needed nap after not being able to sleep because I
was stressed about the kids first day of school. I did some laundry, some yard work and started on some Cake Pops!!Yummy....
I made a cake just like you would normally do for a party or such. ( Gluten free cake would work as well)....Once the cake was cool, we attacked it.  I think Savanna thought it was the fun part of it all.

Here is the cake still in the pan....and above Savanna getting into it.

I then added frosting.  Some recipes call for 1/2 cup, I didn't measure...I know shame one me.  But it would just dirty something else..then it I formed it into a somewhat ball...

Very messy job....Once this was in a doughy state again we formed balls (Savanna and I) and placed it in the freezer...(will be over night because I am not staying up pasted 11pm....lol

One more thing I am working on tonight is corn salsa....  Corn from Lynds Farms, onions from the market (Farmers markets don't have many) and Tomatoes from my yard...

Tomato plants are just starting to over flow...

The tomatos are so red and juicy....and six corn, an onion, cilantro and two tomatos made 3 jars.

Something New

I have been told many times in my life that I am creative and that I should do something with it and all.  I sew, crotchet blankets, paint (even taught a few classes in my time), flower arranging, needle point, and cook...As many of my friends have called me Martha Stewart/Betty Crocker.
So here I go, I am going to start my own blog and try to post my projects.  I always find new and exciting things to make or do.
As many of you have seen my new Kitchen Curtains...yeah NO pattern was used.  I will also post my small home improvements my other half and I will be doing.
I sure hope you enjoy and keep coming back.
