A friend of mine from the MOJO jeep group is a leader at the Mission 22, which is for veterans. She was looking for donations. I have been working on this for maybe 2 weeks and this will be a blanket donated to help raise money for the veterans. I have other blankets in the works but this one just seems to have my heart. I have done maybe 3 feet and plan on hopefully being 6 feet when I am done...
Feels great doing something for someone else

Well another year has gone by and I haven't posted anything. December 27th I lost my job of over 10 years. I have been applying and applying for jobs. Either some can't afford me, or others just don't give a crap to let me know they won't be somewhere to interview me (CVS) which I am really ok with because most of the bottom of the barrel work there. I have taken this time to sew and organize my house. I am looking forward to this summer because I so need to get the trim on my house painted. I know I am rambling on, but this is how I have felt these past few weeks not working. I enjoyed the beginning of the lay off, but now I am going crazy. There are only so many drawers in your house you can clean out and throw things away. There is only so many rooms you can go through. I am thankful it is winter because I don't have to go out in the snow, but I want a job!
That is all this boils down to......I WANT TO WORK. I enjoy working, I enjoy interacting with adults. (My kids are adults, but come on. I don't have many girlfriends that live close to me.) Without working I really can't drive anywhere or fly across the country to visit my mom. (I would so love to do that but Hubby would be lost)
Interview tomorrow and praying it all goes well. I promise to really post more about my projects soon.
